Principles

You can use every app without an account. Learning progress, saved words and settings are stored in your browser (localStorage) on your device and are not sent to us.

We do not sell data and we do not show third-party advertising in the apps.

Hosting (all sites)

All sites are hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the requested page in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Domain names are managed via Cloudflare DNS.

Analytics (only with your consent)

wowitisken.me, DeutschFlow and ChineseFlow load Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you decline, nothing is loaded and every feature still works. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

Payments and licences

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC (USA), which acts as merchant of record and handles your payment data under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details. When you activate a licence, the licence key and a device label are sent to Lemon Squeezy for verification; we store order and licence identifiers (no name or payment data) to manage devices and revocations (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

DeutschFlow — conversation and learning coach

Text you type into the conversation practice is sent to OpenRouter, Inc. (USA) and the AI model providers it routes to, with MiniMax as a fallback provider, to generate replies and corrections. Our servers only relay the messages and do not store them. Please do not type personal information. A signed cookie (df_pt_quota) counts your free daily messages and contains no personal data.

DeutschFlow — read-aloud and speech

Read-aloud audio is generated by our own speech server (reached via Cloudflare) using Microsoft’s online neural voices; only the article text being read is transmitted. Speaking exercises use your browser’s built-in speech recognition, which may send audio to your browser provider (for example Google or Apple) under their terms. We do not store recordings.

ChineseFlow — audio and tone scoring

Tone scoring analyses your microphone audio entirely on your device; it is never uploaded. Article audio files are delivered from Cloudflare R2 (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which processes your IP address to deliver them.

Error reports and feedback

If something breaks, the apps send a short error report (page address, error message, browser type, time) so we can fix it. Messages you send with the feedback button are stored together with the page they came from. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

International transfers

Some providers are located in the USA. Transfers are based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Write to hello@wowitisken.me for any request.

JapaneseFlow

JapaneseFlow is not public yet and processes no personal data.
